USHL Wednesday Rundown: Lancers Shutout Stars
Kam Hendrickson stopped all 46 shots on goal for Omaha
Omaha 2, Lincoln 0
The Omaha Lancers topped the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box on Wednesday. Lancers netminder Kam Hendrickson turned in a 46-save shutout in just his second USHL game. Omaha opened the scoring at the 15:55 mark of the second period on Will Elger’s 16th of the season. The Providence College commit extended his goal streak to three games. Nick Pierre put the game away with 17 seconds left in regulation via the empty-netter. The goal marked the Omaha forward’s 20th of the year. Pierre now has goals in five of his last eight games. With the loss, the Stars remain two points back of Des Moines for the six, and final, playoff spot in the West with six games remaining.
