USHL Tuesday Rundown: Stampede Stun Tri-City With OT Win
Tri-City's Trevor Connelly was injured late in regulation, leaving his immediate health in question
Recapping the only game around the USHL on Tuesday, January 30.
Sioux Falls 5, Tri-City 4 (OT)
In a wild back-and-forth game on Tuesday that saw plenty of coast-to-coast play, the Sioux Falls Stampede outlasted the Tri-City Storm in overtime, 5-4. Beckett Hendrickson (BOS) scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the extra session. Tri-City forward Trevor Connelly (2024) also found the back of the net twice, extending his point streak to eight games. However, his immediate health remains in question after he went hard into the goal post trying to tally the hat trick. Herd defenseman Artur Cholach tied the game at the other end while Connelly remained down on the ice behind the Stampede net. Sioux Falls needed just 47 seconds of overtime play to secure the full two points.
