Dubuque 7, NTDP U18s 6 (OT)
A barnburner in Dubuque saw the Fighting Saints salvage a series split with the NTDP U18 squad on Saturday. James Hagens (2025) scored three times in the second period en route to a four-goal, six-point effort. Noah Powell tallied his 39th goal of the season for Dubuque, extending his goal streak to seven games. Fisher Scott potted the overtime-winner at the 1:38 mark of the extra session, marking his eighth goal of the season and first since February 18.
Lincoln 2, Tri-City 1 (SO)
Despite falling in a shootout, the Tri-City Storm punched their ticket to the Clark Cup Playoffs. The Stars and Storm each scored once in the third period, Keaton Peters for Lincoln and Cameron Briere for Tri-City. The latter’s goal came with 33 seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Ryan Spinale provided the lone tally in the shootout. Stars netminder Yan Stostak stopped 35 of 36 in regulation and all three in the shootout.
Des Moines 2, Omaha 1
The Buccaneers kept pace with Lincoln to remain tied for the sixth, and final, playoff spot in the West. Adam Zlnka (ARI) and Edison Engle tallied markers for Des Moines. David Deputy provided the lone goal for the Lancers. Ethan Dahlmeir collected his 20th win of the season, turning aside 25 of 26.
Youngstown 2, Madison 1
Ryan Botterill scored the go-ahead goal and eventual game-winner at the 9:34 mark of the third period, his 26th goal of the season. Nathan Lewis opened the scoring with his sixth tally in the first. Madison’s Austin Burnevik scored his 38th goal of the year less than three minutes later to even the score. Youngstown’s Aiden Wright earned his 10th win of the season.
Fargo 4, Waterloo 2
The Force scored twice in the third period to skate past the visiting Waterloo Black Hawks. Fargo needs just one more win to tie the all-time record for wins in a single season (48), previously set by Des Moines during the 1998-99 season. The two teams traded goals in the opening 40 minutes, with Tom Leppa and Harper Bentz finding the back of the net for Fargo and Reid Morich and John Mustard (2024) for Waterloo. Brasen Boser scored the go-ahead goal at the 8:46 mark of the third period.
Chicago 5, Green Bay 4 (OT)
Michael Hagens scored the game-winning goal just 19 seconds into overtime to lift Chicago over Green Bay. Michael Hage (2024) opened the scoring with his 32nd goal of the year and added an assist on Charlie Major’s marker in the third period. Hage finished the month of March with nine goals and 23 points in 12 games, going only one game without recording a point.
Muskegon 7, Cedar Rapids 1
Justin Solovey and Joe Connor each scored twice in the Lumberjacks’ lopsided 7-1 win over Cedar Rapids. Amine Hajibi opened the scoring with his 11th goal of the year for the Riders. However, Muskegon scored seven unanswered to close out the game, including Matvei Gridin’s 35th of the season. Shikhabutdin Gadzhiev stopped 24 of 25 and now has wins in his last five starts for the Jacks.
